What is Performle?
Performle is an AI manager OS — web software at performle.com built for the person who runs a team. It turns the 1:1 notes a manager already takes into the written work management asks for: a performance review, an honest promote / retain / coach / PIP / exit recommendation, employee goals, a 1:1 prep agenda, recognition, an executive roll-up, a team staffing case, a weekly digest, and an ask-anything chat about the team — each one drafted from that manager's own captured evidence, and each one fully editable before it goes anywhere.
The short version: a manager's calendar is already full of the conversations that matter, and the record of those conversations is the most valuable thing they own. Performle keeps that record in one place and does the writing from it. Manager $29/month, Team $99/month, 14-day free trial, and a live demo that needs no signup at all.

What Performle writes
Nine things, all from the same record, all editable:
- The performance review — an annual, quarterly or continuous review with an overall summary, key accomplishments, strengths, growth areas, goals and progress, and what's ahead. It reads the whole period you pick, so the review reflects the year rather than the last fortnight. An optional suggested rating comes with its rationale. More on the review writer →
- The honest call — a candid, evidence-based recommendation anywhere on the spectrum from promotion or a retention bonus through retain-as-is and coaching to a formal improvement plan or an exit, with the specific evidence behind it and the concrete next steps. More on the honest call →
- Employee goals — three to five specific, measurable next goals per report, each with why it's the right next step from that person's trajectory and how to measure it. More on goal setting →
- 1:1 prep — a focused agenda for the next conversation: where they're at, the three to five things worth raising, anything worth recognizing, and a couple of good open questions tailored to that person right now.
- Recognition — specific praise that names the actual thing and why it mattered, plus a one-line version for a quick message. If nothing clear was captured, it says so instead of inventing praise.
- The executive roll-up — a leadership-ready status on the team: headline, wins and momentum, risks and watch-items, delivery, and the people-and-staffing signal.
- The staffing case — the honest right-size argument from captured load, delivery and sentiment, pointing wherever the evidence points: hold, hire this role for this reason, or reduce and redeploy. More on the staffing case →
- The weekly digest — what moved this period, who or what needs the manager now, and what's coming up.
- Team chat — ask a question about the team and get an answer drawn only from the captured record, with the person named and the number cited. If the record doesn't cover it, the answer says so.
A performance improvement plan is written the same way, from the same approved evidence, so it arrives specific and documented rather than vague.
What Performle reads
Only what the manager has captured in the app. Nothing is scraped, watched or monitored in the background. The record is built from:
- Approved 1:1 notes — wins, roadblocks, roadblocks cleared with the manager's help, and the topics the report raised
- Dated commitments — what was due, what shipped, and how much of it landed on time
- Goals and their progress against target dates
- Recognition given
- Weekly pulse check-ins and 1:1 cadence
- Role, title and tenure
You choose the window — this week, this month, this quarter, this half, the last twelve months, or all time — and every draft is written from that window.
How it works, start to finish
- Capture. After a 1:1, bring in the notes you already took: paste them, upload the file, or share a Google Drive folder with Performle and pull from it.
- Approve. The AI reads the note and proposes the wins, the dated commitments, the roadblocks and the topics your report raised. You keep what's real and dismiss the rest. Nothing enters the record until you approve it.
- Generate. When the review, the update or the hard call comes due, pick the person and the period and Performle drafts it in a couple of minutes from everything you approved. You edit every word.
The whole loop rewards small, honest inputs: five minutes after a 1:1 becomes a finished review at the end of the year.
What Performle deliberately does not do
Being clear about the edges is how you pick the right tool quickly:
- It doesn't decide. Every output is a draft. Nothing is auto-applied, auto-sent or auto-filed, and the sensitive drafts — improvement plan, exit, staffing reduction — carry a written caution to document the call and run it through HR.
- It doesn't watch anyone. There's no keystroke, screen-time, commit-count or productivity surveillance. The only evidence is what the manager chose to write down and approve.
- It doesn't reason about people, only about work. The AI is instructed to stay strictly on documented performance and behavior, and never to reference or infer age, race, sex, religion, disability, national origin, pregnancy or any other protected characteristic — or anyone's personal life.
- It isn't payroll or an HR suite. No PTO, benefits, headcount administration or company-wide calibration cycles. That's a different job, and other tools do it well.
- It doesn't invent evidence. Where the record is thin, the draft says the record is thin. That's the point of writing from captured notes.
Who gets the most out of it
A natural fit if…
You run a handful of direct reports, you write the reviews and the leadership updates yourself, and you'd like the record you already keep to do that writing for you — at a flat price, with no rollout and nothing to administer.
Better served elsewhere if…
You're an HR or People leader standardizing performance for a whole company, or you need payroll, benefits and PTO in the same system. A full HR platform is built for that, and Performle sits happily alongside one.
Where the name fits
Performle is made by Meadow Mountain, and it launched under the name Ascending Talent before becoming Performle in 2026 — if you've seen the earlier name, it's the same product. It's a hosted web app: sign in from any browser (including Continue with Google), 1:1 note text is stored encrypted, each manager sees only their own organization's records, and deleting your account is self-serve from inside the app.

What is Performle?
Performle is an AI manager OS — web software at performle.com built for the person who runs a team. It turns the 1:1 notes a manager already takes into the written work management asks for: a performance review, an honest promote / retain / coach / PIP / exit recommendation, employee goals, a 1:1 prep agenda, recognition, an executive roll-up, a team staffing case, a weekly digest, and an ask-anything chat about the team. Every output is drafted from that manager's own captured evidence and is fully editable before it goes anywhere.
Who is Performle for?
The everyday people manager — a team lead, engineering or ops manager, agency lead, practice owner or small-business owner who runs a handful of direct reports and does the reviews, the 1:1s and the leadership updates themselves. It is priced and shaped for the manager rather than for an HR department rolling a platform out company-wide.
How does Performle actually work?
Three steps. First you capture: after a 1:1 you paste or upload the notes you already took, or pull them from a Google Drive folder you have shared with Performle. Second you approve: the AI reads the note and proposes wins, dated commitments, roadblocks and the topics your report raised, and you keep what is real — nothing enters the record until you approve it. Third you generate: from that running record, Performle drafts the review, the recommendation, the goals, the prep, the roll-up or the staffing case in a couple of minutes, and you edit every word.
What evidence does Performle write from?
Only what the manager has captured in the app: approved 1:1 notes (wins, roadblocks, roadblocks cleared, topics raised), dated commitments with their due dates and on-time completion, goals and their progress, recognition given, weekly pulse check-ins, 1:1 cadence, and role and tenure. It writes from the whole selected period — a week, a month, a quarter, a half, a year or all time — which is what keeps a review from turning into a summary of the last two weeks.
Is Performle an HR system?
No, and it is not trying to be. There is no payroll, no PTO or benefits administration, no company-wide review cycle to configure and calibrate, and no engagement-survey suite. Performle is the manager's own workspace and writing engine; an HR platform is the company's system of record. Plenty of teams run both.
Does the AI decide anything on its own?
No. Every output is a draft the manager reviews, edits and decides on — nothing is auto-applied, auto-sent or auto-filed. On the sensitive calls the drafts say so explicitly: a performance improvement plan, an exit or a staffing reduction comes with a written caution to document it and work it through HR. The AI is also instructed to reason only from documented work performance and behavior, and never from age, race, sex, religion, disability, national origin, pregnancy or any other protected characteristic, or from anyone's personal life.
What does Performle cost?
Manager is $29 per month and Team is $99 per month, both with a 14-day free trial and no sales call. Pricing is per manager rather than per employee, so adding a report does not add to the bill. There is also a live interactive demo at performle.com/demo that needs no signup at all.
Where does Performle keep the notes, and can I remove them?
Performle is a hosted web app; 1:1 note text is stored encrypted, and a manager only ever sees their own organization's records. Sign-in includes Continue with Google, and account deletion is self-serve from inside the app — you do not have to email anyone to leave.
